TimeTravel (Voxengo Tempo Delay)

TimeTravel is a bank of 50 presets for Voxengo's Tempo Delay vst

you will receive a single file (TempoDelay_TimeTravel bb.cbf) which can be saved anywhere on you system. I would recommend creating a folder called "Tempo Delay banks" in the same place that you install your Tempo Delay vst... just so its easier to find when you want to load it.

I am not positive about just when Voxengo's Tempo Delay came out... I can tell you that in 2005, it was already on version 1.6 and at the time of writing, it's on version 2.3

Tempo Delay is NOT a new vst.

Tempo Delay IS a powerful vst.

Tempo Delay has not only the ability to set the base BPM from which it calculates all of it's delay times, it can sync to HOST tempo (not uncommon...) but it ALSO has a BPM multiplier! You can "sort of" think of this as a time signature if you want to, but it is easier to work with the device if you just think of it mathematically: 4/4 = 1; 2/4 = one half (.5); 3/4 = three quarters (.75), etc...

This function ALONE is worth giving Tempo Delay a spin.

but there is more...

Tempo Delay is completely Stereo... Left and Right channels have their own independent delay times, gain, panning, feedback...and a pre (initial) delay (!!!)

This "Delay" setting adds a completely separate timing option to your delay behaviors. It's much easier for you to understand if you play with it first hand...and while the delay times settings are "relative" to one another, don't expect to be able to dial in specific milliseconds, etc... that is NOT how this device is set up. It works off of ratios...mathematical relations of the settings to one another.

You really have to work a lot out by ear but ...that's sort of why I have put together this pack of 50 or so presets in one bank!

You can go through these and *hopefully* get a better idea of how this little beast works.

All of these presets can either be a starting place for you, a set of inspirational crayons, or actual building blocks for great tunes. its in your hands now!

(and remember- just because a vst is more than 10 years old doesn't necessarily mean that its not an amazing tool!)
